Simeen Kadi arrived in late 2008 to head up marketing at the Carbon Trust, a not-for-profit organisation with the mission to accelerate the move to a low carbon economy. The trust provides specialist support to help business and the public sector cut carbon emissions, save energy and commercialise low carbontechnologies.By stimulating low carbon action it contributes to key UK goals of lower carbon emissions, the development of low carbon businesses, increased energy security and associated jobs.
The Carbon Trust markets to its business audience by highlighting the corporate benefits of low carbon such as cost savings and competitive advantage. Bringing low carbon strategy to the board room as well as to company employees has resulted in a paradigm shift in corporate strategy and is changing behaviours within an organisation and its supply chain.
