This award is for projects which inspire change through communications keeping in line with the International Green Awards heritage in recognising best practice in sustainable communications.  Marketing forms part of the fabric of our lives and whether we like it or not, its reach is unparalleled in society!

As an innovative and progressive practice, marketing has the potential to inspire hope. In fact, we believe it has the power to change the face of business for good. This is why marketing must become sustainable: both in spirit and practice. This award seeks to recognise an inspiring campaign that is able to influence behavioural change and thus lead to business to be more sustainable.

Specific Criteria to Consider


- Submitted entries must be part of an integrated marketing campaign, using a combination of advertising and PR activities. This is open to all forms of advertising – print, outdoor and TV commercials.

- Tailored messages for the selected audience, with effective creative design and copy.- Campaigns that go beyond mere promotion, but promote sustainability in all aspects, including their production elements.

- Work that is creative, current and original with an artistic quality, strong messaging and an environmental ethos encouraging consumers and stakeholders to adopt greener lifestyles.

- We also request qualitative and quantitative evidence of the positive sustainable impact of each entrant’s submission to identify greenwash.
