Joanna is the Vice President of the Polish Environmental Partnership Foundation – a non-profit organization, which since 1997 has been supporting action for sustainable development through partnership building, civil society development, proposing new solutions as well as promoting tried and tested environmental projects. She is responsible for management of all Foundation operations and planning, including development of new projects and collaboration with the local government and business partners.
Since years she has been actively working to support and promote innovations, sustainable production and consumption as well cross-sectoral partnership.
She was involved in the Clean Business – a long term initiative based on the partnership with NGOs, large corporations and small and medium businesses. As a manager, she created the Polish clean business network, developed new services offered to the companies and cooperated with the partners.
Promoting the best Polish, innovative solutions in business, she has been developing the Clean Business Award scheme, which since 2004 has been connected with the European Business Awards for the Environment.
She graduated from the faculty of geography at the University of Warsaw, spec. developing countries and international studies “Sustainable forestry and land use management” at the University in Freiburg (Germany).
She enjoys sports, particularly cross country skiing and rowing, loves travelling and experiencing nature and different cultures.
