Have you got what it takes to win an International Green Award? These awards have built an increasingly prestigious profile over the last few years with both pioneering names and young innovators being rewarded for their extraordinary work in promoting sustainable business and lifestyles. Last year the living legend that is Sir David Attenborough won a life time achievement award, while new cleaning brand IQ won the best packaging design. What have you got to impress the judges with this year?
The 6th International Green Awards, recognised in our Best of Green series this year, are now open for project entries in 20 categories. They say they are looking for “original solutions for real problems thus promoting positive change. We want to see how you are involved in ‘being part of the solution’.”
This year the International Green Awards have partnered with ethical investment company Emerald Knight and WWF-UK. Dax Lovegrove, Head of Business and Industry for WWF-UK, says, “It’s important to celebrate innovations that drive us towards a One Planet Future – a future in which the production and consumption of goods and services flourish within the Earth’s ecological limits and support human well-being around the world.”
You have until September 1st to send in your submissions, that’s just under a month folks! Your work will then be seen by an extensive judging panel that includes high profile names such as David de Rothschild, Arianna Huffington, Tim Smit, Mark Lynas, and even yours truly, representing TreeHugger on the panel this year. I look forward to seeing the ground breaking work that people are submitting. Good luck!
